Mountain Home Men’s Hall of Fame Bylaws

 

 

 

Name: The Name of the organization shall be known as Mountain Home Bowling Hall of Fame.

 

Purpose: The purpose is to perpetuate those who have displayed superior performance in the game of American Ten Pin and/or contributed through meritorious service to the general welfare and progress of the sport in the State of Idaho.

Membership:  Membership in the Mountain Home Bowling Hall of Fame will be recommended by the committee and elected by the Mountain Home Hall of Fame delegates.

 

Meetings: The Mountain Home Hall of Fame committee shall meet at least 60 days prior to the banquet.

Nominations:   All nominations for the HOF will be accepted, provided the nominee is or has been a resident of the State of Idaho and is or was a member of USBC(ABC/YABA/BPAA).

 

Election Procedures: It shall be the duty of the HOF committee to solicit and accept applications of nominees to the Hall of Fame in 2 categories. (Meritorious Service or Superior Performance). A maximum of (2) men may be elected in any one year.

    

The HOF committee will adopt a Hall of Fame standard application form to be used in making nominations. This form will be supplied as needed.

                               

From the application submitted, the HOF committee shall review and rank the nominees on a scale of 1 through 10 (highest to lowest)

                               

The HOF committee shall then vote by ballot. Each council member shall vote for no more than (2) men. A nominees must receive 2/3 majority vote by members present to be elected.

                               

All applications must be submitted for consideration by Jan 31 of the year to be nominated.

Awards:

                               

Awards shall be made for the elected inductee and shall be presented, with fitting ceremony, at the site of the general membership meeting.

                               

A suitable plaque will be obtained and names of all persons elected to the Mountain Home Bowling Hall of Fame and shall have their name inscribed there on as they were elected. This plaque shall be placed on display at the Local Bowling establishment.

Eligibility Rules:

                               

To be eligible for candidacy to the Mountain Home Bowling Hall of Fame:

1. Bowling nominees must be or have had a resident of the State of Idaho, City of Mountain Home and a member of USBC (ABC/YABA/BPAA) for a minimum of 10 years.

 

2. Bowling nominees must have bowled in at least 10 Mountain Home Bowling Association leagues/tournaments sanctioned by USBC(ABC/YABA/BPAA)

                       

3. Bowling nominees must be of good repute and sportsmanship.

                       

4. Living nominees must have been a member of USBC (ABC/YABA/BPAA) for at least 20 years.

                       

5. Meritorious or support nominees must have given distinguished service in the promotion of USBC(ABC/YABA/BPAA) sanctioned bowling activities through administrative or organizational work, or in any other manner deemed meritorious for a minimum of ten (10) years.

                     

6. Any military assignments for candidates will be considered residency.

                       

7. Nominees from each category shall be voted on separately.
