ELMORE COUNTY USBC ASSOCIATION MANAGER

 

The Association Manager is an employee, hired by the board of directors to do tasks such

as membership processing, award processing and taking minutes at meetings. The

Association Manager should be somewhat tech savvy and be customer service oriented, as

servicing members, leagues and the bowling centers are a big piece of the position.

 

The Association Manager, by default, is also the tournament manager for all association

championship tournaments. As such, it is helpful for the Association Manager to have

knowledge of bowling tournament operations. Another strong attribute is to have a strong

financial background, as the Association Manager handles the day to day finances of the

association.

 

To succeed as an Association Manager, one should be excited to help service the needs of

bowling centers, leagues and its members. Knowing the timelines necessary for

membership and awards processing also is important. The association

manager does not vote on board decisions unless they have been elected as a director, but

they do have voice and their input can be helpful.
